Patient Experience Reviews
Nicest doctor ever!
I had a very good experience with this provider. Since this was my first visit to see him, I was very comfortable from the beginning to the end. My daughter accompanied me to the visit. She has a medical background and was very impressed with the doctor Throughout the visit.

Good
Dr. Goel is an excellent surgeon, and he does an exceptional job explaining everything to his patients. I would, and do, recommend him to anyone looking for general surgery or colonoscopy/endoscopy. I've had many of them, and this was by far my best experience. So much information was given to me both after the procedure and at my follow up telephone appointment. Highly impressed!
Dr. Goel was excellent and after my appointment I shared how approachable and how he listened with several family members. He was kind, courteous, and respectful to all of my concerns and my family history.
Staff and provider were excellent. No additional appointment was recommended but advised it may happen again and what to watch for. Fluid In the surgery area had to be drained. I have had wonderful care in dealing with this cancer.
Appears to be a very competent Dr, first visit so I'll find out more in three years when I come in for my endoscopy and colonoscopy

Excellent care during a very emotional situation, biopsy scheduled and completed. Everything was explained and questions answered. I didn't expect things to move along so smoothly and quickly. Which was exactly what was needed. Grateful to the staff and Doctor Goel.

Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
