About
Jonathan Frankel, MD is a board-certified otolaryngologist at University Hospitals. In addition, he is fellowship-trained in facial plastic surgery and has a focused interest in facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, skin resurfacing, and facial contouring with aesthetic injectables. Dr. Frankel values the trust that patients place in him, and he seeks to use his skills to help his patients achieve their aesthetic and functional goals.
Dr. Frankel’s extensive training in head and neck and facial plastic surgery gives him a unique understanding of the form and function of the face. Initially drawn to this field by his background in the fine arts, he particularly loves the marriage of art and medicine in facial cosmetic surgery.
After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007, Dr. Frankel attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where he earned his medical doctorate and received the Medicine Legacy Award. He went on to complete a five-year surgical residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at UH Cleveland Medical Center. Dr. Frankel then furthered his training when he was selected for a prestigious facial plastic surgery fellowship at the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Dr. Frankel has been widely published in textbooks and peer-reviewed journals on a variety of topics including facelift surgery, nasal surgery and the surgical correction of ear deformities. In addition, he has presented his work at local, regional and international surgical conferences. Passionate about using his training to care for the underprivileged, Dr. Frankel has served on multiple international medical expeditions to Honduras, Uganda and Belize and received the American Academy of Otolaryngology – HNS Foundation Humanitarian Travel Award.

This was a scheduled 12 month follow up for sinus surgery. There was really nothing that needed to be done except to check to make sure that everything had healed correctly. The physician, medical and office staff were excellent.

I would appear that Dr. Frankel is losing his Physician's Assistant & his office is not presently making future appointments for people like my Mother. I hope he finds a new Assistant very soon.
Dr. Frankel is very patient, thorough, and personable. I always have good experiences with him and appreciate the care that he provides.
He really took his time with me, therefore I didn't mind waiting. He also apologized immediately for being late due to the fact that he got delayed with a patient. He is very thorough and doesn't rush through his visits due to time constraints, hence that's a good reason for being a little late.
