About
Brian D. Rothstein, MD, is a Pediatric Neurosurgeon at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. In addition, Dr. Rothstein is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where he also serves as Chief Medical Officer of UH Ventures.
Dr. Rothstein received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Miami (Coral Gables, Florida) in 2002. Subsequently, he worked in the sports marketing and marketing consulting industry before attending Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine in 2010. While attending medical school, he also obtained a Master’s of Science in Applied Anatomy. In 2017, Dr. Rothstein completed a Neurosurgery residency at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago in 2018.
Among Dr. Rothstein’s clinical interests are pediatric neurosurgical oncology, skull base surgery and neurotrauma. Academically, his research interests include neuro-oncology and player safety in high school contact sports. Dr. Rothstein works closely with the University Hospitals Concussion program and serves as an Independent Neuro Consultant for the NFL.
