Dr. Chirdon is thorough and very concerned about my health. He has referred me to specialists regarding specific health problems. He has been my primary doctor for quite a few years. When he moved to *** I still wanted to remain in his care even though the drive is over an hour to see him. I trust his medical advice and he is also a pleasant man.

He has kept me informed about all my tests through my chart and he was the one that got me with the surgeon to go to surgery. He was a blessing

I was somewhat hard to answer some questions because this was my first visit with him as a new patient. My primary doctor moved away. But Dr. Chirdon was very thorough and helpful. He asked appropriate questions and was very thorough. He ordered lab work and the laboratory technician was excellent. I was very pleased with the experience. Thank you.

Previous provider practice closed, I chose Dr. Chirdon as a new provider. The staff worked to get me in ASAP. Everyone listened to my concerns without judgement or making assumptions. This has not been true of the ER doctors or the last specialist I saw. I appreciate Dr. Chirdon and his staff, I feel that they genuinely care about me and will continue to provide the care that I need.

My county has few primary care doctors taking new patients and Dr Chirdon was worth waiting for. As a new patient he listened and suggested appropriate tests to address symptoms I am noticing.

I changed my primary care physician to Dr. Chirdon for the reason that the previous office front desk was horrid and trying to get an answer from the doctor was exasperating. This new office with the staff is outstanding.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
