About
Dr. Amit Gupta is a cardiothoracic radiologist and modality director of Diagnostic Radiography at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. He also serves as Assistant Professor of Radiology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Gupta is a passionate educator and the recipient of multiple teaching awards. A large concentration of his work involves the understanding and utilization of new imaging techniques, modalities and software for image interpretation. These include spectral detector computed tomography (CT), 3-dimensional printing, radiomics, positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Dr. Gupta has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and has presented his research at national and international meetings. He is involved in building and validating novel artificial intelligence (AI) based methodologies, focusing primarily on lung cancer diagnosis, prognosis and treatment response prediction. Presently, he is working on improving adoption and streamlining the integration of AI algorithms into routine clinical practice at University Hospitals.
