Eli D. Scher, DO, is a radiation oncologist who joined University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center in October 2021. His areas of expertise are in head and neck cancer, breast cancer, general radiation oncology and lung cancer. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Scher sees patients at University Hospitals Mentor Health Center in Mentor, Ohio.
As a medical researcher, Dr. Scher’s scholarly activity includes research conducted at the radiation oncology departments of University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Fox Chase Cancer Center (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania). He has published research in a number of peer-reviewed journals, including: AME Case Reports, International Journal of Colorectal Disease, International Journal of Radiation Oncology – Biology – Physics, Radiotherapy and Oncology, Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology and American Journal of Clinical Oncology. In addition, Dr. Scher has published research findings presented at annual meetings of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society for Radiation Oncology and the American Radium Society, among other medical associations.

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies.
