About

Nancy Wasserbauer, DO, serves at the Department Head of Allergy and Immunology at St. John Medical Center and is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and the Ohio Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is a member of the faculty with the UH Allergy and Immunology fellowship.

Dr. Wasserbauer completed her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and her osteopathic degree from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency training at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s, and a fellowship in allergy and immunology at SUNY Buffalo. She has published many articles, appeared in allergy educational videos and provided expert opinion on several local new stations.

Dr. Wasserbauer has primary interests in allergy immunotherapy, severe asthma, atopic dermatitis, angioedema syndrome, urticaria/hives, as well as basic and clinical immunology. She is proud to have served with the Ohio Newborn Screen Committee that added screening for primary immune deficiency 2013-2014.

As a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, she has participated in the Leadership Academy and has served on the primary immune deficiency committee as well as the immunotherapy committee in her specialty of allergy and Immunology. Dr. Wasserbauer is board certified in allergy and immunology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and immunology. She sees patients of all ages, from infancy to adulthood.
